Don't let them send you on your way with new caps alone or you'll end up getting the error message again. If they can't, it's leaking from somewhere else. Then less than three years later I lost another couple of quarts without any visible signs. I had mine fixed along with the front timing chains gaskets that were leaking oil, $$$$$. If you loose more than a cup and don't see a leak that's probably it. Next time the issue was the valley pan $$$$. My expansion tank looked and pressure tested fine until it finally went. I had coolant issues with my E70 V8 and is one of many reason I refuse to buy another.ģ. Of course my 2020 X6 M50i has 37,000 miles and is out of warranty. Went to the dealer service dept and my SA promptly and at no charge topped off the coolant. No visible coolant leaks anywhere on the ground. Same warning reappeared Tuesday during morning commute. Driving home Monday evening a warning message came on stating the coolant level was low. ![]()
